Written by I’m a loyal reader of the videogame magazine Edge. When I heard they had pulled their columnist Mr. Biffo’s next column, I was of course curious to see what it was about. Turns out he’s got the ok from his publisher to publish the pulled column in his blog. It is nothing scandalous, mind you.
While I thought it was impossible, the column has managed to stir emotion in me: a pity towards Sony and specifically Phil Harrison. I’ve never had anything against them really; I just can’t understand how they managed to make such a mess of a sure-fire thing. I felt bad reading the column – not because it was vicious or anything (it isn’t), but because the scene depicted is so sad. Poor Phil!
